AISA Parent Support Group

"Forever working today for a better tomorrow"

Educational Quality Committee

Aim:    To work with all stakeholders to develop, maintain and extend the quality of educational provision at AISA by contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school development plan

Examples of key support activities:

·       school accreditation, re-accreditation (CIS, MSA) and recognition policies

·       authorisation and evaluation for PYP and IB Diploma (IBO)

·       recruitment and retention of staff

·       issues related to facilities and resources

Community and Communications Committee

Aim:    To foster a sense of identity for all stakeholders and ensure effective communication between all members of the AISA community

Examples of key support activities:

·       co-curricular provision (extensions to academic offerings, sporting, DEAR, skill and talent development)

·       personal and social educational initiatives (mentoring, parent class representatives, community service)

·       community programmes related to aim (subject/issue-related fairs, careers counselling, external speakers)

·       communications strategy (foster school-parent dialogue)

·       enhancing modes of communication (website, e-communication, informational paper communication)

Social and Cultural Committee

Aim:    To organise social and cultural events that welcome, integrate and develop lasting relationships within the AISA community

Examples of key support activities:

·       alumni (communications, reunions, proms)

·       orientation (new families, teachers, students)

·       promotion of AISA (inter-school events/competitions, local social activities)

·       social functions (local, national and international)

·       cultural awareness (student exchanges, international days, environmental awareness)
